This is an old variety from which many of the modern cabbages are derived, excellent tight heads, short season variety and excellent for all uses, even sauerkraut. Great cold tolerance.
Cabbages need correct timing of planting to form correctly.
Sow late summer- early autumn in most climates, in tropical and sub tropical zones sow in Autumn-Winter. Best to sow going towards the coolest time of the year. Avoid hot weather.
Prefer sunny position, sow 5mm deep, emerge 7-14 days Harvest approx.70-85 days after sowing
