CHILLI / CAPSICUM 'Bogyiszlo'

20-30 seeds

This variety of pepper is mild enough to call a capsicum but can have some heat so the classification isn't clear cut. The variety is an heirloom from Hungary, so named after the town Bogyiszlo, famous for its paprika and indeed the variety is a perfect addition to homemade papkrika.

Plants grow 45cm tall, fruits medium sized with a tapered point like a small diamond shape, the occasional boxy shaped fruit will also appear. Fruit begin white and slowly ripen to yellow then orange. Flesh is quite thick and less watery than other capsicum.

Sow Spring and Summer Sow 5mm directly in final position or in seed boxes, seedlings emerge 10-14 days, must have adequate temperature to germinate (25-28 degrees C soil temp.), space 50cm apart. Harvest 10-16 wks after sowing
