This variety, also known as Chinese long beans, produces slender beans around 60-70cm long with beautiful blood red colouring. They are highly productive, extremely nutritious and delicious and are much easier to cut for stir fries and stews than regular beans. Does well in tropical climates.
Sow during early spring when soil is 21-30 degrees C, requires slightly warmer soil to germinate and grow than most beans. Sow 25mm directly in final position, seedlings emerge 6-10 days, space 15cm apart. This is a climbing variety which requires a trellis or some kind or support. Harvest from 50 days after sowing
