This is an ideal variety for pickling, especially bred over centuries for its shape, size and high yeild. The fruit are short, dark green and smooth. Best picked from 5-10cm. Make your own brine solution to pickle them or they can still be used as regular cucumbers. Resistant to cucumber mosaic virus and cucumber scale. Sow Sp-Su or when temperatures are an average of 18+ degrees Prefers a sunny position, sow 12mm and keep moist, germinates 6-10 days. Plant 90cm between seedlings and can also sow seeds in clumps of 2-3 seeds. Harvest approx 50 days
