Iconic purple flowered trees, native to South America but well adapted to Australian conditions, particularly northern NSW and subtropical QLD.
Does well in most temperate to Subtropical climates, requires frost protection when young, will drop leaves in Winter for climates with a cooler winter.

To germinate soak for 24 hours in water, sow in pots and cover with a thin layer of soil - best done in Spring. Germination occurs in 2-8 weeks, grow in pots for atleast 6-8 months before transplanting.
