Red Clover is a low growing legume excellent for green manure, attracting beneficial insects, a living mulch, grazing for animals and the flowers and leaves can even be used in salads or teas.
Germinates best between 18-20 degrees C, for cool climates sow very early Spring or Autumn, Sow in Winter in warm climates. Germinates 7-10 days, scatter directly on soil and cover lightly, must be kept moist for good germination.
Coated seed is seed that has been pre-coated with lime and inoculant (beneficial bacteria), the coating is not toxic and will break down in the soil naturally.
