This rare variety produces pale skinned fruit with orange flesh and a delicate aroma. This melon has been recorded as far back as 1787 and is now a french heirloom. The flavour of this melon is not to be missed and it has often been named the best tasting melon in many feild trials. Good in cooler climates.
Plant in Spring and Summer and in tropical regions Au-Sp, temperature should be above 18 degrees C
Best sowing in clumps of 2-3 seeds,
Sow 10-20mm deep, leaving 100cm between seedlings, will emerge in 6-10 days
Harvest once the melon has an aroma and the stem comes easily away from the fruit ~104 days
