This is an unusal type of lettuce native to China. The plant can be used like lettuce or celery, utilising the stem and the leaves. The plant can be harvested when about 30cm tall, leaves can be picked anytime. The stem is cut in half and served like celery.
Sowing time - Au-Sp Prefer sunny position, sow 5mm deep, emerge 8 -14 days, Must have soil at less than 18 degrees, preferably 15 deg.
