This unusual heirloom variety produces large oblong melons with smooth yellow skin that begins to split when ripe. Very old variety and uncommon variety. The flesh has an unusual flavour and distinctive smell, all round great one to try and perfect for desserts and mixing with ice-cream.
Plant in Spring and Summer and in tropical regions Au-Sp, soil temperature should be above 20 degrees C
Best sowing in clumps of 2-3 seeds,
Sow 10-20mm deep, leaving 100cm between seedlings, will emerge in 6-10 days
Harvest ~80 days
