Indian native, small shrub growing up to 5m. Subtropical. This aromatic tree bears fragrant white flowers, and its lance-shaped leaves are widely used to add flavor to traditional dishes.

Likes sunny to part shade position, water well. Prefers sheltered spot. Best in tropical or subtropical climates. 

Seed is freshly harvested to give best germination but these are perishable, sow immediately or store in cold storage. Dried seed is not as viable so these must be supplied fresh.
