Lucerne is a fast growing legume excellent for green manure, pastures, living mulch and making your own lucerne hay. Coated seed is not suitable for sprouts.

*Note these seeds are lime coated and pre-inoculated for improved germination, coating is brightly colored for clear identification but it is non toxic and naturally breaks down in soil.

Germinates best between 20-25 degrees C, for climates with a cold winter sow very early Spring or in Autumn. In climates with mild winters sow in Winter.
Scatter directly on soil and cover lightly, must be kept moist for good germination
