This dainty flower is a great addition to cottage gardens and borders. This variety produces double blooms in a range of colours. The flowers produce interesting dried seed pods which are excellent for cut flower arrangements. Easy to grow and readily self seeds year after year. Frost hardy. Attracts beneficial insects. Can be used in small quantities in cooking. Dried seed pods were traditionally hung or stored with clothing to repel moths and other insects. Annual growing to 50cm Full sun to part shade Sow 2mm deep Best in temperate / cool climates but will tolerate warmer zones. Frost tolerant. Seeds germinate best at 15-20 degrees C soil temperature, direct in garden as they don’t transplant well.
