This is a really prolific heirloom vegetable producing small flying saucer-like white fruits. The fruits are very juicy and great boiled and cooked, as well as being high in vitamins and very low in calories. Best picked young, when fruits are about 15cm across. Plant in Spring and Summer, in clumps of 2-3 seeds at 18+ degrees C, 20mm deep, leaving 100cm between seedlings, will emerge in 6-10 days
